Horse Riding: With 45 riding clubs in the region, you can learn to ride in riding schools or on fully equipped ranches both on the plain and in the mountains, surrounded by green countryside, with instructors and professional guides.

Mountain Biking: Cycle through woods, hills and mountains on hundreds of kilometres of tracks.  Alternatively you may just prefer to watch the professional events, including the "Bardonecchia mountain classic".

Golf: 18 hole courses in Sestriere, Claviere and Avigliana with a 9 hole course in Bardonecchia and a practice range in Oulx.

Water Sports: The rivers 'Dora Riparia', 'Chisone' and 'Pellice' cool down the summer in the Mountains.
The 'Cesana Torinese' Water Sports Centre has all the latest equipment, but you can put on a wetsuit and head downstream (canoe, kayak or raft) on the 'Pellice' or the 'Chisone' too. Learn water-skiing and canoeing in 'Avigliana'.

Walking: The region has extraordinary walking country.  Amble past lakes, through ancient forests and on to medieval abbeys.  Bardonecchia itself has numerous walking routes of up to 1.5-2hours duration.  With the 'Gran Bosco di Salbertrand' national park in the vicinity, Bardonecchia includes among its many inhabitants deers, ibex and numerous species of bird including the rare golden eagle.

Sight Seeing: The area has an immense cultural heritage evident from the castles, fortresses, aquaducts, archaeological sites, medieval abbeys and monasteries, all within a short drive.

Other activities available in either Bardonecchia or nearby include Tennis, Fishing, Para gliding and mountaineering
