Horse
Riding: With
45 riding clubs in the region, you can learn to ride in riding schools or on
fully equipped ranches both on the plain and in the mountains, surrounded by
green countryside, with instructors and professional guides. |

Mountain
Biking: Cycle through woods,
hills and mountains on hundreds of kilometres of tracks. Alternatively you may just prefer to watch the
professional events, including the "Bardonecchia mountain
classic". |

Golf:
18 hole courses in Sestriere, Claviere and Avigliana with a 9 hole
course in Bardonecchia and a practice range in Oulx. |

Water
Sports: The
rivers 'Dora Riparia', 'Chisone' and 'Pellice' cool down the summer in the
Mountains.
The 'Cesana Torinese' Water Sports Centre has all the latest equipment, but
you can put on a wetsuit and head downstream (canoe, kayak or raft) on the 'Pellice'
or the 'Chisone' too. Learn water-skiing and canoeing in 'Avigliana'. |

Walking:
The region has extraordinary walking country. Amble past lakes, through
ancient forests and on to medieval abbeys. Bardonecchia itself has
numerous walking routes of up to 1.5-2hours duration. With the 'Gran
Bosco di Salbertrand' national park in the vicinity, Bardonecchia includes
among its many inhabitants deers, ibex and numerous species of bird
including the rare golden eagle. |

Sight
Seeing:
The
area has an immense cultural heritage evident from the castles,
fortresses, aquaducts, archaeological sites, medieval abbeys and monasteries,
all within a short drive. |
